Our Community Living Room: The Compton Hotel

The Compton Hotel has opened in downtown Bentonville (just steps from our Engel & Völkers shop on Main Street), and it is an absolute game changer for our community.

We'd heard since the inception of the project that it would be a nod to Neil Compton's passion for conservation, the Ozarks and the Buffalo National River... but nothing could have prepared me for the breathtaking design (absolute Aspen vibes), meticulous care and attention to detail, natural materials and stunning spaces.

The best part about the Compton is the vision set forth by the development and design teams to make the space feel like our community's living room. It's intended to be a place where locals and visitors alike come together to enjoy coffee and cocktails and to blend work and play.

To help inspire you to explore the space yourself, here are a few highlights:

142 guest rooms
3 restaurants: Sestina (woodfired steakhouse), Field Notes (all day coffee and bites) and The Eddy (for cocktails overlooking the Square)
A giant limestone wall punctuated by flowing water in the lobby is a focal point reminiscent of Buffalo River bluffs and outcroppings
A second floor library featuring books about and from the Ozarks inspires exploration and learning about the property's deep sense of place.
Bringing the outdoors in: from the "front porch" to native plants and materials to soaring glass at every turn, the hotel nestles into its downtown environment seamlessly.
The Dogwood Ballroom: notably, the Compton can handle 500+ guests for downtown events and mingling atop custom carpet that replicates a topographical map.
Broad window seats span the windows in each guest room, bringing the "living room" and outdoor/in vibes into every guest experience.
